Who is a Donor Egg (oocyte) recipient ?
Donor Egg Recipient
A donor egg recipient is a woman who is unable to conceive for a variety of reasons. In most cases, the recipient has tried many other forms of reproductive therapies, which have been unsuccessful due to limited ovarian reserve/response or age. You must be under the age of 50 and in general good health. Long Island IVF is very proud to offer its patients their Egg Donation Program for those who have decided to create their families using ovum donation. Egg Donation was developed for three different types of women. The first type of woman has ovarian failure and wants to have a pregnancy and birth; some women are born with this problem. The second type of woman has lost her ovarian function at menopause (early, premature, or average). The third type requires donor oocytes due to medical treatment, such as chemotherapy.
